AI artist and creative director Infiniteyay believes in magic, or at least believes in incorporating magical, dreamy characters and landscapes into the complex worlds of his AI-generated art.
In his 2024 series 'New Reality,' he combines traditional landscapes (like suburban neighborhoods) with a whizzing train and a silhouette of a woman in the sky, blurring the lines of reality. Each of the 299 artworks in this collection is just a glimpse of the iconic style he has been building since 2022.
In the past year, advancements in AI and technology have greatly influenced Infiniteyay's work, breaking through the boundaries of his creative process and artistic direction.
In an interview with the NFT platform MakersPlace, Infiniteyay explained his passion for creating a world where people can fully enjoy losing themselves. He said:
"In my artistic creation, I attempt to construct a truly engaging and complex world," Infiniteyay explained. "I am more interested in creating scenes that feel like they are happening, even if it is not clear what exactly they are. I love those works that give a glimpse into another world and possess a sense of honesty and immersion."

He uses tools like Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, and DALL-E 2.
Infiniteyay told MakersPlace that most of his works are created using a set of AI tools. Specifically, he uses Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, DALL-E 2, Photoshop, and After Effects, adding that he uses upscalers to enhance resolution and quality. "I also incorporate some of my personal traditional art and photos into my AI artworks," he said.
Infiniteyay is an artist and creative director with over 15 years of experience, initially engaged in traditional art creation. However, when he saw programs like Stable Diffusion and Midjourney capable of turning text descriptions into highly detailed images, he became interested in AI. Now, he uses AI daily to create digital artworks that are boldly colored, richly textured, and blend fantastical and realistic surreal elements.
Infiniteyay's artworks often employ contrast: the coexistence of light and shadow, intricate details interwoven with a blurred background, or scenes that seem to transition between two different realities. A piece might depict a neon-lit future urban nightscape, but upon closer inspection, hidden figures or objects are revealed, altering your perception of the scene. He generates these images using AI, then refines them by adjusting settings and combining different versions until the final piece appears complete.
His latest collection (We Did It) explores the concept of contrast from a bittersweet perspective. As described in the work, these scenes depict how transformation can evoke wonder and fear.
After discovering AI technology, this creative director no longer struggles with artistic creation.
Infiniteyay enjoys creating breathtaking worlds with his AI art, but this hasn't always been his style. His artistic career began in Florida, surrounded by monotonous suburbs. He has been in the creative industry for 15 years, building visual identities for different brands. However, while pouring creativity into other brands, he felt a lack of inspiration and couldn't focus on his own artistic creation until he discovered AI technology in 2022.
In an interview with Medium, he shared how this technology profoundly changed his perspective on artistic creation and how he believes it will have the same impact on many others:
I think one of the most wonderful aspects of AI is that it allows many people who have struggled to create for various reasons to express themselves in new ways. I know some artists who previously found it difficult to create due to some reason or illness, but now they can create again. It's truly amazing! For me, this alone has changed my life.
Infiniteyay created collections like 'New Reality' using AI tools such as Midjourney and DALL-E 2, as well as contributing to 'TIMEPieces x Deepak Chopra: Seven Series' for Time Magazine. To create this series, Time Magazine invited artists to reimagine the cover of Deepak Chopra's bestseller 'The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success.'
The redesigned cover by Infiniteyay features a woman surrounded by bubbles of different sizes and colors. According to him, these bubbles represent the dreams and goals of the woman. He added in the description that these bubbles are 'her inner divinity unfolding and manifesting in the material universe.'
With collectors anticipating his upcoming works, Infiniteyay continues to push the boundaries of AI art.
Infiniteyay was inspired by his time in Asia while creating his NFT series, exploring new realities.
In recent years, Infiniteyay and his family have been pursuing their dreams - after moving from the US to find a new home in Asia. During the journey, Infiniteyay visited five countries that inspired his 'new reality': Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Mainland China, and Taiwan are sources of his inspiration.
The 2024 series is filled with Asian elements, from cultural references and fashion to text and architecture, all reflecting Asian charm. Nevertheless, Infiniteyay remains true to his magical realism art style, creating layered worlds that explore the realities contained within his artistic creation. Indeed, these works evoke thoughts of Asian countries, but by collaging paper-cut models, skies, and lines together, they also make it seem as if they are in a newly explored world.
In his art, things coexist simultaneously, reflecting the theory of the multiverse, where opposing elements coexist within a cohesive framework.
Specifically, through 'New Reality,' Infiniteyay hopes to shift the responsibility of defining reality back onto those who receive the art.
On X, he explained: In the 'new reality' series, I want to explore all the questions above, as well as how AI will help us truly shape our own reality. The series showcases people immersed in boundless environments where their dreams, imaginations, and desires manifest around them in wonderful and unexpected ways. It illustrates the various emotions and perspectives people have toward future visions.
He believes in continuing to learn and expand his current style of artificial intelligence art.
In late summer 2024, Infiniteyay minted his 1/1 series 'More Than Ever' on the NFT trading platform SuperRare as his founding project. According to Infiniteyay, this series, which contains 8 pieces, is the culmination of all the experiences he accumulated over six months while building 'new reality.'
He also believes that his more traditional career path as a creative director provides him with tools to continue being creative as an AI artist.
"For example, the works in this series are created using very complex craftsmanship and many steps. If I hadn't been engaged in art and design for so long, I’m not sure I would have developed these steps," Infiniteyay explained in an interview with MakersPlace.
"I still extensively use Photoshop to create and mask layers in my works. Having a background in sketching and painting has greatly helped me conceptualize compositions and apply colors. My series has also gone through a lot of organization; I create thousands of images and then manually categorize them to find the most suitable images as a base. Having experience in organizing and editing photos is a great help for this step."
While Infiniteyay continues to draw inspiration from both the traditional creative world and the new AI world he is immersed in, he also says that the greatest thread of his creativity is not computer programs, but his sense of mission and purpose.
He added: I've said it before, but I really just hope to inspire people to explore the magical side of life more, to dream more, and to break out of fixed thinking patterns. I hope my art can make people smile, laugh, or feel amazed in some way. I just want to bring joy and magic to life, even if just for a moment.
