The Real Reason Most People Don’t “Get” Crypto

Can we stop pretending crypto is too complicated?

I don’t buy it. Most people understand the basics just fine — they just don’t want to challenge what they’ve always believed: that banks are safe, governments have their best interest at heart, and fiat money will always hold value. But what if none of that is true?

Yeah, I said it.

What if crypto makes more sense than your national currency?

People love to say, “Crypto is risky.”

But isn’t inflation eating your savings every year even riskier?

Isn’t having to ask for permission to send money abroad more limiting than any blockchain volatility?

I come from Ethiopia. I know what it’s like to live under financial restrictions. You think I’m scared of Bitcoin dropping 20%? Try being stuck in a system that never lets you grow at all.

Crypto isn’t just an investment. It’s resistance.

It’s saying, “I want control over my money, not blind trust in a broken system.”

Disagree? Good. Let’s talk.
