The leaders of the Republican Party in the US House of Representatives have announced that they will consider three key digital asset bills next week, already calling it ‘Crypto Week’.
This promise was made by House Finance Committee Chairman French Hill, House Agriculture Committee Chairman Glenn Thompson, and Speaker Mike Johnson. According to them, starting on July 14, they will consider the Cryptocurrency Market Framework Bill, the GENIUS Stablecoin Bill, and the Central Bank Digital Currency Bill.
House Republicans are taking decisive steps to implement President Trump’s full range of digital asset and cryptocurrency initiatives. During ‘Crypto Week’, the House looks forward to the timely consideration of three landmark bills proposed by the Senate, Johnson said.
The Republican Party has been on the move since President Donald Trump said in June that he wants the GENIUS Act, which would regulate stablecoins, to be passed as soon as possible before Congress goes into recess in August. The Senate has already passed GENIUS with bipartisan support, meaning that if the House passes the bill as is, it will head straight to Trump for his signature.
