Bitcoin Whale Activity Hits Record LevelsšŸ‹

Bitcoin whales have ramped up their activity in recent weeks, driving uncertainty and big market swings.

In late June 2025, a dormant wallet moved 85,000 BTC worth about $9.2 billion after 14 years without activity.

Shortly after, another old address transferred 60,000 BTC (around $6.5 billion) in a single day.

Early July saw a Satoshi-era wallet move 25,000 BTC, valued at over $2.6 billion.

Altogether, more than 200,000 BTC—over $21 billion—have been moved by dormant whales since June, setting a quarterly record.

These huge transfers have sparked debate over the reasons behind them:

Some analysts believe whales are reorganizing or securing their holdings.

Others think they may be preparing to sell portions of their coins as Bitcoin trades above $110,000.

There’s also speculation about institutional investors consolidating assets.

Large whale moves can create volatility and impact investor sentiment. Traders and long-term holders are closely watching blockchain data to gauge what comes next.
