140 million dollars stolen in a cyberattack against the service provider of the Central Bank of Brazil
On June 30, 2025, hackers breached C&M Software - a service provider to the Brazilian Central Bank - stealing approximately 140 million dollars from the reserve accounts of six financial institutions.
According to ZachXBT, 30 to 40 million dollars of the stolen funds were laundered via cryptocurrency. Notably, the breach was made possible by an employee of C&M selling internal credentials for just 2,760 dollars, granting the attackers full access to the system.$USDT
