Cryptocurrency Prices Today: Altcoins Decline, and "Crypto Week" Draws Little Price Movement
Cryptocurrency prices broadly fell on Friday, with the announcement of the American "Crypto Week" attracting little immediate interest.
Members of the House of Representatives said on Thursday that the week of July 14 will be "Crypto Week," as the legislative body seeks to advance at least three regulatory laws for cryptocurrencies.
The recently approved GENIUS Act, which outlines a regulatory framework for stablecoins, will be considered for final voting in the House, while lawmakers will also look at the CLARITY Act and the Anti-Surveillance State Act for central bank digital currency.
"House Republicans are taking decisive steps to present the full scope of President Trump's agenda for digital assets and cryptocurrencies," said House Speaker Mike Johnson in a statement on Thursday.
