The U.S. House of Representatives is preparing a major step in crypto regulation. Starting July 14, lawmakers will hold "Crypto Week", during which they will discuss three major bills — GENIUS, CLARITY, and the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act. The goal is to establish a robust regulatory framework for digital assets and strengthen the U.S. position as a global crypto leader.

🔹 New Laws Aim to Make the U.S. a Crypto Superpower

House Financial Services Chairman French Hill emphasized that the United States is taking historic steps to remain a global innovation leader. “We want clear rules for issuing and operating dollar-backed stablecoins and to permanently block the creation of a central bank digital currency (CBDC) that could threaten Americans’ privacy,” Hill stated.

🔹 GENIUS Bill Moves to the House

After the GENIUS Act passed the Senate in June by a 68-30 vote, it is now headed to the House of Representatives. The bill aims to regulate stablecoins in the U.S. and will be a key focus during Crypto Week.

President Donald Trump and many lawmakers have already voiced support for the proposal. Hill commented: “Clear guidance for stablecoins is long overdue. This bill brings transparency and stability.”

🔹 CLARITY Act: Who Will Regulate Crypto?

Another crucial item is the CLARITY Act, which seeks to establish the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as the primary regulator for digital commodities while limiting the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) jurisdiction.

Crafted by Glenn Thompson and French Hill, the bipartisan bill has strong backing. Chairman Thompson said: “It's time to provide clear rules of the road for the crypto industry. The House is ready to send CLARITY to the Senate.”

🔹 A Block on the Digital Dollar

The Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act aims to ban the creation of a central bank digital currency (CBDC) that lawmakers argue could be misused for financial surveillance. The bill is expected to gain wide support during Crypto Week.

🔹 Crypto Revolution: U.S. Seeks to Lead the Web3 Era

Senator Cynthia Lummis praised the collaborative effort of lawmakers to provide clear and effective regulation for digital assets. She highlighted her work with Hill and Thompson as essential for shaping the future of the crypto space.

Representative Bryan Steil summed up the momentum: “The golden age of digital assets is here, and the U.S. will lead it. Passing these bills will position us at the forefront of the global Web3 movement.”
