🔥 Buterin sounds the alarm: decentralization is not a trendy slogan, but a real test!
The co-founder of Ethereum harshly criticized the industry: too much fake decentralization, backdoors, and silent updates. Mass adoption is turning into mass betrayal of principles.
At the conference in Cannes, Vitalik proposed 3 simple but ruthless tests:
🔹 Disappearance Test — will the project survive without a team?
🔹 Insider Test — can an 'insider' destroy the protocol from within?
🔹 Trust in Code Test — how many lines of code need to be blindly accepted as a given?
👉 Even layer two networks and DeFi projects, according to him, are guilty of fake decentralization and vulnerable frontends. And privacy? For now — just a checkbox in the settings.
📢 "It's time to bring meaning back to decentralization. Without this, Ethereum could meet the fate of forgotten technologies of the past," warned Buterin.
