Australian crypto billionaire Tim Heath was attacked in Estonia
Australian crypto billionaire Tim Heath was attacked by two men dressed as painters on the staircase of his apartment building in Estonia. He avoided abduction by biting off part of one of the attackers' fingers.
According to media reports, one of the attackers was former Azerbaijani boxer Allahverdi Allahverdiev. He attempted to cover the mouth of the crypto investor, but the latter bit the attacker's index finger and managed to escape to his apartment. The crypto investor also sustained injuries, losing a tooth in the struggle. Shortly after the incident, the attackers fled.
Law enforcement agencies established that a group of kidnappers had been tracking Heath's movements using a GPS tracker installed on his car. It is believed that the attackers entered Estonia using fake Georgian passports and had prepared for the attack for several days, purchasing painter's workwear in hardware stores in advance. The initial plan was to take the crypto investor to a rented sauna and force him to transfer his crypto assets there.
