Mark Zuckerberg just dropped a memo announcing Meta’s new obsession: “personal superintelligence for everyone.”

In other words: the company is restructuring around a single, high-stakes mission - build AI that’s smarter than humans.

He’s calling it Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL), and the goal is to Leapfrog OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic in the race for next-gen models.

He’s brought in heavy hitters like Alexandr Wang, ex-Scale CEO, as Chief AI Officer and Nat Friedman, former GitHub head, to lead product and research efforts.

Llama 4 underdelivered. Rival labs are shipping faster. Meta’s catching heat for inflated benchmarks.

And yet - Zuck’s betting hard for Meta to win the AI endgame.
