๐จ Important Update on Pi Coin and the Purity Badge โ
As of today, while the total Pi coin circulation may eventually reach 10 billion, less than 1 million Pi coins are expected to function at full GCV (Global Consensus Value). Why?
๐ Purity Badge Loss:
Many Pi coins have already been transferred to unauthorized exchangesโpermanently losing their Purity Badge โ .
๐ What the Founders Say:
> ๐ง โEvery Pi is scarce and valuable. Those who persevere until the end will achieve great things.โ
โ Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis
> ๐ โ10 Pi is enough for a generation. Pi is non-conformist!โ
โ Dr. Chengdiao Fan
๐ฅ Mining is ending soon, and when the Global Open Mainnet launches, hereโs what you can expect:
๐น Lower Gas Fees
๐น Pi Blockchain Contract Address Activated
๐น Up to 300 Computer Nodes Online
๐น Real-Time Pi Value on Pi Blockchain Explorer (via Pi Browser)
๐น Your Pi Wallet Will Show $USD Equivalent
๐ฑ In the Pi Browser Wallet, there will be two types of balances:
1. Contribution Balance
โ Mined Pi that was never transferred to exchanges.
โ Has Purity Badge.
โ Can be used at GCV.
2. Non-Contribution Balance
โ Pi that was sent to exchanges at any point.
โ Purity Badge is lost permanently.
โ Not eligible for GCV use.
๐ No Shortcuts. No Bypasses.
To hold Pi with the Purity Badge โ , you must:
Create a Pi account
Mine for at least 30 days
Complete KYC
Be in the migration queue
Once migrated, Pi coins transferred by the Pi Core Team will retain the badge. But if you transfer them to an exchange, the badge is lost foreverโeven if returned.
