You see the little bit of white powder collected in the corner of the test tube? Thats literally stardust or whats known as pre solar grains and their chemical signature is completely different to anything else in our solar system. It’s made up of diamonds and other minerals and was formed by stars before our Sun and solar system came into existence.

Whenever someone says what I study is really old I’m always like if there are humans around it’s practically modern in the span of all history. This might not be archaeology but this stardust is part of our story and I’m absolutely fascinated by it
