Odaily Planet Daily News: On Tuesday local time, the U.S. Senate narrowly passed President Donald Trump's (Beautiful Law) but disappointed leaders in the crypto industry as the bill failed to include a key tax amendment they had previously advocated for, aimed at crypto users. In the final hours of intense negotiations before the bill's passage, pro-crypto senators, led by Senator Cynthia Lummis (Republican from Wyoming), along with industry policy leaders, worked hard to attach an amendment that included multiple crypto-related tax benefits. These benefits covered crypto miners, stakers, businesses holding large amounts of cryptocurrency, and ordinary digital asset users. However, time ultimately ran out, and the amendment did not make it to the Senate's consideration stage. A crypto policy leader described this outcome as a 'missed opportunity' and stated that they 'simply ran out of time.'
