The richest man in the world criticized Trump's "Big Beautiful Law" on tax breaks. Musk called it the "debt slavery law" and condemned all supporters of the initiative.

"Every member of Congress who advocated for reducing government spending and then voted for the largest debt increase in history should be ashamed!" he wrote on X (formerly "Twitter").

In his opinion, the law will adversely affect the US national debt, increasing it by a record $5 trillion. Musk stated that he would create his own party "America" if the initiative is passed.

"If this crazy spending bill is passed, the next day I will create the party 'America'. Our country needs an alternative to the Democratic-Republican uniparty so that people truly have a voice," he stated.

In response to the attacks, Trump threatened to cut off subsidies to Musk. The US President also added that he is now against the use of electric vehicles. Furthermore, the politician advised the "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE), which Musk initially headed, to take a closer look at the billionaire's companies.
