Bloomberg also reported on Monday that the REX-Osprey Solana and Staking ETF is officially scheduled to debut on Wednesday, becoming the first in the United States to allow cryptocurrency staking.
The product faced initial regulatory hurdles with the SEC, which raised objections after approving its registration. The main issue was whether the ETF qualified as an investment company under U.S. securities laws.
To gain approval, the issuers reached an agreement to invest at least 40% of the assets in other ETPs, mostly domiciled outside of the United States.
