People in the crypto world are too abstinent

Eight years of experience in the crypto world has made me feel that people in this field live too 'refined'...

After spending a long time in this circle, I often fall into extreme mental fatigue, where there is a suffocating feeling everywhere. Those in the circle may understand that feeling: the deeper and longer one goes into the circle, the fainter the 'human touch' becomes.

Every day, immersed in cycles, rises and falls, and strategies, staying up all night watching K-lines, new projects, and new narratives, these have become the entire meaning of life. When the market doesn't meet expectations, days feel like years.

The market is often referred to as a testing ground for human nature, and traders are expected to be wise observers of human hearts. But I find that I've forgotten how to love, and even don't know how to accept love. The softest and most touching parts of life have been squeezed into a corner by years of experience in the crypto world. I start to ask myself: Am I still human?

In eight years, I've seen too many people with several million dollars in their accounts, yet they won't even splurge on a decent meal in reality. When chatting with them, they only talk about whether the main force has sold, whether the dealer is still around, or where the funds have gone, but the simplest human warmth, whom they like, or who likes them, they look down upon. They, including me, are not 'human'.

I once thought the crypto world was a cradle of dreams, a smooth path to freedom. Now, for me, it feels more like a walled city without an exit, where it is not the body that is trapped, but my true kindness and beauty. The abstinence in the crypto world is not only an emotional desolation but also a silent erosion of the bottom line of human nature. The decentralization touted by Web3 should be the key to liberating human nature and reshaping trust, but in reality, it has made us distant from each other, our souls cold.

Do we, those who have immersed ourselves in the crypto world, still remember our original selves? Where has that person gone, who would have their heart race at a simple 'I like you,' or feel warmth from a greeting? You dare not remember, because in the circle, reminiscing about these makes you seem weak, even ridiculous. But I increasingly cherish these memories - they are like a faint light, reminding me: what makes us human is not only living but also loving.

My friend, do you pause in front of the walls of the crypto world, whether longing to step inside or wanting to escape...
