Trump lashes out at Elon Musk: “He would return to South Africa”
While the cold winds continue to blow between Elon Musk and Donald Trump, Musk’s talk of forming a new party drew Donald Trump’s reaction. Trump highlighted the incentives Musk received and said, “If it weren’t for these supports, he would probably close up shop and return to South Africa. Maybe the #DOGE institution should look into these subsidies a little bit.”
Elon Musk continues to oppose the bill that Donald Trump greatly supported and includes tax cuts. Musk last tweeted last night that if this bill becomes law, he will establish the “America Party”.
“It will be established in a day”
In his comment on the X account, Musk described the bill as a “crazy spending bill” and wrote the following:
“If this crazy spending bill becomes law, the America Party will be established in a day. There is a need for a new voice outside of the Democrat-Republican single party. All I want is for America not to go bankrupt… Why is there a debt limit? The only way for the government to cut spending is to reach the debt limit…”
“Maybe we should look at Elon’s subsidies”
Donald Trump responded to Musk on his Truth Social account and practically gave him a stick under the rug:
“Elon knew that I was against the electric vehicle push before he supported me during the election campaign. This was one of the biggest promises of my election campaign. That’s why it’s ridiculous… Elon may be one of the people who receives the most incentives and support in the world. Without these incentives, he would have to close up shop and go back to South Africa. There would be no rocket, satellite or electric vehicle production. Our country would also save a lot of money. Maybe $DOGE should look at Musk’s subsidies. There could be a lot of money to save.”
