THE MARKET

Well, because the markets care very little about what kind of person you are. The markets “reward” those who are more capable, they reward those who know how to take advantage of the best moments and those who know how to accept losses.

We must be honest; being technically very good is of no use if you don’t know how to act, if you don’t know how to be, if you don’t know how to recognize when you are in one of those moments that must be seized, if you don’t know how to adapt to recognize yourself in such moments.

Good citizen? Great worker? Good parent? So what!? None of that is useful in the markets. Here in the markets, you deserve nothing, nothing is owed to you, nothing is certain, everything is to be conquered and everything is to be achieved.

There are so many factors, so diverse and complex that nothing is certain, no matter how hard you work. You can be phenomenal at analyzing, but lack the necessary boldness, or the opposite, or neither of the two; you might miss that pinch of “controlled madness” that is needed far more often than we want to admit and for which we are not trained.

The responsibility is Ours regarding the decisions we make when Investing; you do not face the market, you face yourself.
