Why Dictators Are Afraid of Bitcoin
CFO of the Human Rights Foundation Alex Gladstein said that Bitcoin is a powerful tool for fighting authoritarian regimes. It is not subject to control, does not require banks, and gives financial freedom to millions of people whose accounts can be frozen due to political views.
Gladstein recalled that 87% of people live under economic or political pressure - and it is for them that BTC becomes a salvation. Examples are Belarus, Afghanistan, Venezuela.
He is sure that by 2030, Bitcoin will become the main asset in the fight for human rights.
