In January 2018, the SAFE Foundation merged the voting chain and SafeNet 2 to upgrade to SafeNet 3, renamed SAFE, and made every effort to create a more open project with a larger ecosystem. On January 20, 2018, SafeNet 3 was officially launched. Main features: master node network, SafeDPoS consensus, SAPP application development, SafeZi, Safe, SafeTou, SafeBao, etc.
Masternode network: It undertakes the functions of Anwang’s instant payment, privacy payment, and voting on proposals. Currently, the number of masternodes in Anwang 3 has reached 8660+;
SafeDPoS consensus: SAFE3 randomly selects 9 master nodes with long online time and stability from the numerous master nodes in the entire network to generate a block every 30 seconds, so that each master node has the opportunity to participate in the construction of the SAFE3 blockchain, and can achieve green consensus and avoid excessive energy consumption;
SAPP application development: supports users to develop application services on Anwang 3, and provides blockchain middleware services; Anzi: allows users to develop various digital assets on Anwang 3, including issuance, additional issuance, transfer, destruction, candy distribution, candy collection and other functions;
Anfu: In addition to the ordinary transfer function, Anyang 3 also supports instant payment, mixed currency (privacy payment), adding notes to transfers, invisible collection, full amount hiding and other functions; | The following Antou and Anbao are not the functions of SAFE3, but ecological products.
AnTou: A blockchain application specifically used in the field of voting, elections and lotteries, ensuring that every user participates in voting with a real or virtual identity;
Anbao: It is a one-stop digital asset security management hardware package produced by the Anwang team. It uses a national-level financial security chip to ensure the security of seed passwords and private keys. The private keys do not touch the Internet. The cold end constructs transactions and signatures offline, and the hot end APP sends transactions online. The cold end transmits data by scanning QR codes, which has extremely high security.
SAFE3 was launched on January 20, 2018 (Singapore time) and stopped operating at 11:00 am on April 25, 2025, with a total operation time of 7 years and 3 months.
2.4 SAFE4
The SAFE4 mainnet will be officially launched at 11:00 Singapore time on April 26, 2025. SAFE4 is the successor to SAFE3:
The total amount of SAFE remains unchanged, the block production time remains unchanged, and the amount of SAFE per block remains unchanged;
The function of the master node remains unchanged, the reward amount remains unchanged, and the number of block rewards remains unchanged;
C The SAFE lock-up status in each address remains unchanged, and the SAFE4 lock-up period is extended; the 10% reward of each block in the proposal system remains unchanged to support community development;
