How much did Israel lose in its war against Iran? And who really emerged victorious?
Israel spent about 5 billion dollars in the first week of the war,
Iran targeted the Weizmann Institute and the Bazan refinery, with tens of thousands of settlers affected, and work almost halted in all vital sectors.
Military spending increased by 65%
And with all these losses, Israel did not achieve its goals:
- The Iranian nuclear project was delayed by only a few months as reported
- The Iranian ballistic missile program was not actually harmed.
- Iran emerged more internally cohesive and with more popular support.
In contrast, Israel's only achievement was the assassination of some military leaders, which does not match the heavy price it paid in this war.
