After a long silence, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) — the largest investor in Compound — has made a notable on-chain move.

9 hours ago, a16z deposited 300,000 COMP (worth $13.76 million) into Coinbase Prime, marking its first major transfer in four years.

As the lead investor in Compound's early stages — backing both the $8.2M seed round and the $25M Series A — a16z originally received 1,344,957 COMP from the Compound Deployer, representing 13.45% of the total supply. That stash is now worth over $61.7 million.

While some of those tokens have been moved to Coinbase and Coinbase Prime, a16z still controls 675,966 #COMP , valued at roughly $31 million, spread across the following wallets:
