Bolsonaro is to be tried between August and September in the Supreme Court for an attempted coup
The trial against former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and seven other defendants in the main criminal case related to the attempted coup is set to take place between the end of August and the beginning of September. The process is currently in the stage of closing statements from the prosecution and defense, the final phase before the court proceedings, which is expected to take an average of 45 days. Procedural deadlines will not be suspended during the Brazilian Supreme Court's (STF) recess in July, as General and former Minister Walter de Souza Braga Neto remains in custody.
