$WCT 1. What is WalletConnect?

WalletConnect is an open-source protocol that allows you to connect your crypto wallet (like the Binance Web3 Wallet) with decentralized applications (DApps) securely. It is not a wallet itself, but a tool that facilitates interaction between your wallet and various DeFi services, games, decentralized exchanges, and more.

- It allows you to sign transactions and access DApps without exposing your private keys.

- It uses QR codes or deep links to establish the connection between your wallet and the DApp.

2. How to use WalletConnect with Binance Web3 Wallet?

Basic steps:

1. Open your Binance App and access the Web3 Wallet:

The Binance Web3 Wallet is integrated into the Binance app and allows you to interact with DApps securely.

2. Look for the "Connect Wallet" option in the DApp:

When you visit a compatible DApp, select the "WalletConnect" option when choosing the connection method.

3. Scan the QR code or use the link:

- If you are on your computer, the DApp will display a QR code.

- Open the Binance App, go to the Web3 Wallet, and look for the option to "Scan QR code" or "Connect with DApp".

- If you are on mobile, you can use deep links that will open the app directly.

4. Authorize the connection:

The app will ask you to confirm the connection. Review the permissions and accept if you agree.

5. Interact with the DApp:

You can now sign transactions, participate in DeFi, games, swaps, etc., directly from your Binance Web3 Wallet.

3. Considerations and Security

- Privacy: WalletConnect never accesses your private keys. It only transmits the necessary signatures to authorize transactions.

- Disconnection: You can disconnect your wallet from any DApp at any time from the active connections section in your Binance Web3 Wallet.

- Security: Always verify that the DApp is trustworthy before connecting your wallet and signing any transactions.
