Pi Token Takes Flight: Google Partnership Coming?
Pi Network’s #PI token project has gained 38% ahead of an expected AI announcement this week. The rally was fueled by social media rumors of a possible collaboration with Google.
The speculation began when Pi Network co-founder Nicolas Kokkalis took the stage at a generative AI panel at Consensus 2025. Pi Network announced on X (formerly Twitter) that it would make the announcement at its Pi2Day event on Thursday.
These developments have raised expectations that Pi Network is planning to integrate AI directly into its ecosystem.
Following the post, the PI token price rose rapidly, reaching $0.65 on Wednesday, a 38% increase from Sunday’s low of $0.47, but at press time the price has fallen back to $0.57.
Following the price increase, social media users began discussing what the announcement would be about.
One X user mentioned that there were rumors that Pi Network would partner with Google AI. He even suggested that the star image in the Pi Network announcement resembled the logo of Google’s artificial intelligence unit.
Another user claimed that the announcement could be related to a separate project called PiAI.
While some community members saw these developments as a big leap, there were others who were more cautious. One user commented, “We can expect an increase for Saturday, but we should lower our expectations to avoid disappointment.”
