As of today, I can confidently say that even if the total Pi coin supply reaches 10 billion, the number of Pi coins that will actually operate at GCV (Global Consensus Value) is likely less than 1 million. Why? Because a large portion of Pi has already been transferred to exchanges, causing those coins to permanently lose their Purity Badge.

Dr. Nicolas once said, “Every Pi is scarce and valuable. And those Pioneers who persevere until the end will achieve great things in life.”

Dr. Chengdiao Fan also emphasized, “10 Pi is enough for a generation, and Pi is non-conformist.”

Pi mining is coming to an end. Once the global open mainnet goes live, several key things will happen:

  • Pi gas fees will decrease

  • Pi will receive an official contract address on the Pi Blockchain Network

  • Around 300 computer nodes will go active

  • The Pi Browser will begin to show the real Pi value through the Pi Blockchain Explorer

  • Your available Pi balance in the Pi Browser wallet will also show its equivalent value in dollars

The Pi Browser wallet will consist of two types of balances:

  1. Contribution Balance – This is Pi that has never been sent to an exchange. It retains the Purity Badge and will function at GCV.

  2. Non-Contribution Balance – This includes Pi that has previously been transferred to an exchange. The Purity Badge is permanently lost, and these coins cannot operate at GCV.

This system is built to be tamper-proof. There is no way to bypass or cheat the mechanism. To hold Pi with the Purity Badge, you must:

  • Create a Pi account

  • Mine for at least 30 days

  • Complete the KYC process

  • Be part of the migration queue

Once migrated, the Pi Core Team will transfer your mined Pi from the app to your Pi Browser wallet — and it will carry the Purity Badge. However, if you move those coins to an external exchange, the badge is lost forever, even if the coins are later returned.

All of this is backed by solid sources:

  1. Pi GitHub – containing the programmed logic and protocols

  2. Pi Network Whitepaper – outlining the vision and mission

  3. Pi Browser – where the ecosystem is actively taking shape

To all loyal Pioneers who have stayed the course — congratulations. Your commitment is about to pay off.
