The U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent noted that current U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods are at 30%, while China imposes just 10% on American products.

He stressed that the U.S. doesn't aim to decouple from China and believes Beijing wants to act as a responsible partner.

Earlier, Donald Trump stated:

🟠Every country wants to make a deal with the U.S.

🟠Yesterday we signed an agreement with China — we’re opening the

🟠American market for them

🟠A trade deal with India is coming soon

🟠Passing the tax bill (Big Beautiful Bill) is now a top priority

🟠It would be good for the U.S. if the Fed lowered interest rates

🟠About Powell: We have to fight this guy

🟠We’re taxing China, Mexico, and others that allow fentanyl imports

🟠We hope Congress can pass the tax bill by July 4
