China has unveiled a mosquito-sized drone built for stealth surveillance and it’s real.

Developed by the National University of Defence Technology, this 1cm-long flying device mimics insect wings and is designed to be nearly invisible to the human eye.

It carries a tiny camera and microphone, making it ideal for close-range reconnaissance in sensitive environments. While its limited battery life restricts long-term use, the drone highlights major advances in biomimicry and micro-robotics. As drone warfare evolves, the line between nature and machine continues to blur.
