Fraudulent advertisements with fake celebrity endorsements are rampant, and Brother Maji was forced to endorse the name
Recently, a large number of fraudulent advertisements impersonating Taiwan Mobile's virtual asset exchange TWEX have appeared on Facebook. The illegal group even used well-known people such as Huang Licheng, founder of Steaker, and Huang Weixuan as endorsements, sparking heated discussions among netizens. These fraudulent advertisements claim to "launch a desktop version" and claim that joining as a member will provide high bonuses, lucky draws, free trading indicators and other benefits.

The fraud group not only pretended to be a celebrity endorser, but also deliberately chose the controversial Maji Brother in the cryptocurrency circle as the main spokesperson. In addition, the fraudulent advertisement also falsely promoted that the Mithril Coin ($MITH) had been listed on TWEX, and claimed to have received support from Fubon Bank and Taiwan Mobile, in an attempt to increase credibility and deceive ignorant investors.

(CryptoCity) reminds that the purpose of these advertisements is mostly to trick users into investing, allowing them to make profits first, but after multiple deposits, they are unable to withdraw their money, ultimately leaving investors with nothing. Even more dangerous is that the fraud group also induces users to download the so-called "computer version installation file", which will be detected as a Trojan program by anti-virus software and may control the wallet and other asset information in the computer.
TWEX issued an urgent clarification statement, strongly denying any cooperation with the fraud group
Facing the proliferation of fraudulent advertisements, Fu Sheng Digital Co., Ltd., the operator of Taiwan's major virtual asset exchange TWEX, issued an emergency statement today (June 27) to warn criminals against using the company's name to spread false advertisements. The company said that it has recently noticed that some external units or individuals have claimed to have a cooperative relationship with TWEX without authorization or consent, and the relevant information is all false.

TWEX emphasized in the statement that any information about individuals, projects, companies or other third parties that Taiwan Virtual Asset Exchange cooperates with is based solely on the company's official website announcement, and called on users not to trust unverified information. The company clearly stated that any third party that quotes, implies or claims that it has a cooperative relationship with the company without formal announcement or confirmation is untrue, and the company reserves the right to pursue legal action.
TWEX reminds the public that the real exchange website is https://www.twex.tw/default.html. If you are unable to identify the authenticity of the advertisement, please contact the real customer service staff for verification.
Meta's advertising review mechanism is questioned again, and the public should be more vigilant
This incident once again highlights the loopholes in the Meta platform's advertising review mechanism. Although Facebook claims to have a complete advertising review system, fraudulent ads can still easily pass the review and be placed in large quantities on the platform, posing a potential threat to users.
Industry insiders pointed out that it is a common fraud method for fraud groups to use the images of celebrities and legitimate corporate brands to increase credibility. When seeing similar advertisements, the public should be vigilant and must verify the authenticity of information through official channels to avoid financial losses due to momentary negligence. Experts suggest that users should carefully verify the legitimacy and security of the exchange before investing in virtual assets, and do not trust advertisements on social media.
