A Message to True Pioneers: Only a Few Hold Real Pi Power
Despite billions of Pi coins circulating, fewer than 1 million will ever operate at the Global Consensus Value (GCV). Why? Because many users sent their Pi to exchanges—permanently losing their Purity Badge ✅, a symbol of authenticity and value.
Dr. Nicolas reminded us: "Every Pi is rare. Those who stay committed until the very end will see greatness."
Dr. Chengdiao Fan also shared: "10 Pi could be enough to impact an entire generation—Pi is not meant to follow the crowd."
With mining soon coming to an end and the global open mainnet on the horizon, exciting changes are coming:
Lower gas fees
A verified contract address on the Pi Blockchain
Over 300 nodes powering the network
Real-time Pi value display in the Pi Browser
Wallet balances will show dollar equivalents directly under your Pi balance
The Pi Browser wallet will categorize your Pi into two types:
Contribution Balance – These are untouched, original mined Pi that never left the network. They carry the Purity Badge ✅ and are valid at GCV.
Non-Contribution Balance – If your Pi was ever sent to an exchange, it lost its badge. Even if it returns, it’s no longer valid at GCV.
⚠️ There’s no way to restore lost purity.
To earn and keep the Purity Badge ✅, you must:
Sign up for Pi
Mine for at least 30 days
Pass KYC
Be in the migration queue
Once approved, the Pi Core Team transfers your mined balance to your Pi Browser wallet, complete with the badge. But the moment you send your Pi to any crypto exchange, the badge—and its full value potential—is gone for good.
