White House Official Calls Bitcoin “Digital Gold,” Wants to Buy More Bo Hines, the head of crypto policy at the White House, said the US wants to buy as much Bitcoin as possible. He called Bitcoin “Digital Gold”, comparing it to the value and importance of gold for the country. “We want as much as we can possibly get,” Hines said.
