The company #ريبل announced the integration of the XRPLedger wallet (#XRPL ) with Wormhole, one of the leading multi-chain network protocols, in an effort to enhance its compatibility with various chains.
According to the company's statement today, this integration will take place on the mainnet of XRPL and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) sidechain.
Ripple stated in a statement: "This integration with Wormhole will enable cross-chain messaging, asset transfers, and token issuance across multiple chains." This move aligns with Ripple's goal of making XRPL a core part of the multi-chain infrastructure for institutional finance.
Wormhole services are already being used by major financial institutions dealing with digital assets, such as BlackRock, Securtize, and Apollo. David Schwartz, the CTO and co-founder of XRPL at Ripple, stated: "Interoperability between chains is critical for true mass adoption." Schwartz noted that thanks to the integration, tokens issued directly on the ledger can be transferred $XRP .
to different networks, while maintaining local control and versioning in the process.
June was eventful for Ripple. XRPL began supporting the stablecoin from $USDC on the mainnet. The decentralized finance platform O,ndo Finance added XRPL to its supported networks for products based on U.S. government bonds. Ripple also announced plans to launch its EVM-compatible sidechain in the second quarter of this year.
The new integration will allow developers and institutional investors to transfer digital assets across more than 35 supported blockchain networks, enabling smart contract interactions across chains. #BTC110KToday? #BinanceAlphaAlert $SOL
