🚨 ResupplyFi loses $9.6 million in price manipulation attack

The ResupplyFi stablecoin protocol was the target of a major exploit in the DeFi sector, with $9.6 million stolen after a price manipulation attack on its wstUSR market.

🧠 According to the blockchain security company Cyvers, the attacker used Tornado Cash to fund the operation and exploited a vulnerability in the smart contract, artificially inflating token prices and taking millions in reUSD with minimal collateral.

💸 The stolen funds were converted into ETH and split between two wallet addresses.

🔐 The protocol paused the affected contracts and stated that it will release a full report (post-mortem) soon.

📉 According to CertiK, this attack adds to the over $2.1 billion already lost in DeFi exploits just in 2025.

👉 The case highlights the urgency for more robust validations, reliable oracles, and real-time monitoring in DeFi protocols.
