Souami bought a $5 bottle of orange juice
from a ShopRite store in Hackensack. When he got
home, his wife told him she had seen the same juice on sale for $2.50 somewhere else and suggested he return it to save money.
Souami agreed and drove back to the store to get his
refund. While he was there returning the juice, he
noticed a sign advertising the Powerball jackpot -$306million. On a whim, he decided to use his $5 refund to buy two lottery tickets.
The next day, Souami was getting his car washed when he remembered the tickets in his pocket. He walked over to a nearby 7-Eleven to check if he had won anything.
The first ticket was a loser. But when the cashier
scanned the second ticket, something incredible
happened. The machine started making noises, and the cashier's eyes grew wide.
"Oh my God, " the cashier exclaimed.
