The largest bank in South Korea, KB Kookmin, has filed a trademark application related to stablecoins, amid South Korea establishing a legal framework to promote stablecoins pegged to the local currency.

KB stated that this is a precautionary effort to prepare for the upcoming stablecoin alliance with seven other major domestic banks. #Korea
