The Japanese investment company Metaplanet recently purchased 1.234 Bitcoin, worth approximately 132.7 million USD, bringing its total holdings to 12.345 BTC. This move has surpassed Tesla, which holds 11.509 BTC, making it the seventh largest publicly traded company by cryptocurrency holdings in the world. This purchase follows its fundraising of 515 million USD to achieve a strategic goal of accumulating 1% of the total Bitcoin supply. Despite a recent drop in stock price, it has still increased by over 350% year-to-date.
