🏡#ElonMusk Reclaims Gene Wilder’s Bel-Air Home
✨ A piece of Hollywood history returns to Elon Musk's real estate portfolio.
🎬 The iconic Bel-Air home once owned by Gene Wilder (🌟 Willy Wonka) was reclaimed by Musk after a foreclosure process involving Wilder’s nephew, director Jordan Walker-Pearlman.
📆 In 2020, Musk sold the home to Walker-Pearlman via a $6.7M loan, allowing the filmmaker to return to the house he grew up in (1975–2007).
🏠 The home had been lovingly restored, with salons, tributes, and even a movie — 🎥 The Requiem Boogie — filmed there in Wilder’s honor.
🧾 But following the financial fallout of the 2023 Hollywood strikes, payments fell behind.
💼 By Jan 2025, Musk (via LLC) repurchased the 2,756 sq ft home at $7.58M in a foreclosure sale.
💬 “Everything was orderly and respectful,” Walker-Pearlman said, crediting Musk for granting him “the gift of time travel” — a chance to relive and honor his past.
📉 The house was briefly listed for $12.95M, later reduced to $9.5M, but ultimately returned to Musk. A special agreement ensures the home’s preservation as a cultural gem.
👫 Gene Wilder lived there with Gilda Radner and their dog Sparkle. Now, the legacy continues under new (yet familiar) ownership.
