💰 USDT Supply Hits Record $156.1B, 90% Lives on Tron and Ethereum
Tether’s USDT has reached a new all-time high with $156.1 billion in circulation, reaffirming its lead in the stablecoin space. A whopping 90% of that supply is hosted on just two blockchains: Tron (50.47%) and Ethereum (39.9%), leaving less than 10% for others like BNB Chain, Solana, and Avalanche.
While Circle’s USDC continues to expand on alternative chains — including nearly $7.5B on Solana — USDT still holds a commanding lead. As of now, USDT represents 62.1% of the total stablecoin market, compared to USDC’s 24%, despite a brief dip during the EU’s MiCA rollout in late 2024.
Tether’s grip on stablecoin dominance remains strong, even as competition heats up and regulatory winds shift. 🔗📊
