🔥Gavin Wood Talks About Competition and Collaboration in Public Chains:

"We’ve turned technical issues into a football league, with everyone wearing jerseys, fighting to the death — this state of affairs makes collaboration impossible."

In a recent interview, Gavin and Kevin discussed the current "zero-sum competition dilemma" faced by Solana, Ethereum, and Polkadot: users, developers, and liquidity are fought over as spoils, while collaboration is seen as "weakness."

🤝 Is there a solution? Gavin's vision is:

✅ Decouple "networks" from "tokens," allowing each chain to function like a country, with tokens as currency, and users can switch seamlessly, automatically convert, and use across borders.

"Not every new protocol needs a new coin. We should be thinking about how multiple Layer 1s can collaborate instead of competing against each other."

He also mentioned that DOT and Kusama should establish a complementary relationship rather than compete internally.

In the current highly fragmented crypto landscape, this may be a true path to "growing the pie."
