Metaplanet is not playing around. The Japanese company added another 1,111 BTC to its cash reserves and now holds a total of 11,111 Bitcoins, just 398 BTC away from Tesla, which currently has 11,509.
This reinforces the company's appetite to establish itself among the largest corporate Bitcoin treasuries in the world.
The strategy follows the growing trend among publicly traded companies. There are already more than 240 corporations with Bitcoin in their reserves, totaling over 832,000 BTC, nearly 4% of the maximum supply. Metaplanet clearly wants to scale up in this ranking…
