Metaplanet, a Japanese investment company, has just purchased 1,111 Bitcoin at an average price of $106,408, bringing its total holdings to 11,111 $BTC (approximately over 1 billion USD, CoinMarketCap, 06/24/2025), making it the eighth largest Bitcoin holder globally. The company has achieved 11% of its target of 100,000 BTC by the end of 2026, with this quarter's BTC Yield reaching 107.9%.

Despite the stock dropping 8.2% to ¥1,635 ($10.25) due to concerns over Middle Eastern tensions, #Metaplane continues to raise funds through the "555M Plan," issuing 555 million shares to raise $5.3 billion. To achieve its goal, the company needs to purchase an additional 89,000 BTC (approximately $9 billion). This move reinforces the company's trend of accumulating Bitcoin, promoting DeFi and blockchain in Japan and globally.
