Brito posted a mysterious message containing a single emoji, seemingly causing surprise.
Some assumed that Brito's account might have been hacked, and they asked David Schwartz, Chief Technology Officer at Ripple, to verify whether Brito was indeed behind the post.
Brito, who joined Twitter in 2011, has not posted anything on the social media platform.
The mysterious co-founder of Ripple has been the subject of much speculation. As reported by U Today, Schwartz previously described him as "very private." In fact, there are no public photos or interviews with Brito.
