Strategy Adds 245 BTC to $60B Bitcoin Stash, Shrugs Off Market Stagnation
Even as Bitcoin trades within a narrow range, Strategy shows no signs of slowing its accumulation. In its latest move, the company purchased 245 BTC between June 16 and June 22 at an average price of $105,856 per coin, according to a June 23 Form 8-K filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
This latest acquisition lifts Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to 592,345 BTC, cementing its position as the world’s largest corporate holder of the leading cryptocurrency. At current market prices, the company’s Bitcoin treasury is valued at roughly $60 billion.
The Tysons Corner, Virginia-based firm spent $26 million on the purchase, paying a premium to its cumulative average acquisition price of $70,681 per BTC. The buy was funded through net proceeds from ongoing at-the-market preferred stock offerings.
