#IsraelIranConflict The Arab countries unanimously condemned this Sunday the United States' attack on three nuclear facilities in Iran, which they considered a “serious threat” to the security of the Middle East, and advocated for the urgency of containing the situation through diplomatic channels after rejecting military solutions. Attacking nuclear facilities in Iran poses a serious threat to security and peace in the Middle East and exposes regional stability to severe risks,” said the spokesman for the Iraqi government, Basem al Auadi, in a statement to the Iraqi official news agency INA, where he reminded that “great powers and international organizations must avoid new crises in the world, not provoke them.”
“Iraq emphasizes that military solutions cannot replace dialogue and diplomacy,” he added in the note where he called for “immediate calm and the urgent opening of diplomatic channels to contain the situation.” Arab countries condemn attack against Iran
Saudi Arabia also shared its “concern” over the U.S. attack in a statement shared on social media by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which demanded “restraint, reducing tension, and avoiding escalation,” while urging “the international community to intensify its efforts in these extremely delicate circumstances to reach a political solution.”
The President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, rejected in a statement a new conflict in the area and warned that the bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities “threatens regional security and stability,” thus calling for “constructive negotiations” and “to avoid more deaths and destruction.” Lebanon, its leaders, parties, and people recognize today, more than ever, that it has paid a high price for the wars that erupted in its territory and in the region. It is not willing to pay more, and there is no national interest in doing so.
