President Donald Trump said Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities had been “completely and totally obliterated” after U.S. warplanes carried out strikes on three nuclear sites in the country. “Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace,” Trump said in an address to the nation, hinting at the possibility of further action if a nuclear agreement was not reached. On Truth Social, he warned Tehran that any retaliation against the United States “WILL BE MET WITH FORCE FAR GREATER THAN WHAT WAS WITNESSED TONIGHT.” In a defiant statement, Iran’s nuclear agency condemned the strikes and vowed that its nuclear program would continue. In Israel, authorities reintroduced restrictions for civilians after the strikes, with workplaces and schools closed.
