#USNationalDebt Could XRP Be the Magic Solution (or Too Good to Be True)?
Imagine this: the U.S. Treasury takes a considerable portion of the XRP deposit, valuing each at $1,000, which totals $36 trillion. Would this be enough to pay off the national debt? Consider that this year $9 trillion will need to be refinanced.
If this were to happen, not only would the billion-dollar annual debt service payments be eliminated, but it would also allow for extremely low tax rates and potentially save crucial programs like Social Security and healthcare.
Sounds incredible, right? And perhaps too good to be true. The reality is that Congress would somehow find a way to complicate it, like "sharks in a feeding frenzy."
For the government to value and take XRP at $1,000 would be a purely fiduciary move, just like our current currency. Would it be a financial "magic wand"?
However, let’s remember that utility and operational value are the true foundations for the price of $XRP
What do you think? Is it a wild fantasy or is there a glimmer of possibility in such an unconventional scenario?
