The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will be issuing new currency notes in 2025, starting in the second half of the year. These new notes will replace the existing ones gradually and feature improved security features. The SBP has also clarified that there is no ban on currency notes with pen marks from July 1st, 2025.
