ChargEra App Goes Live, Bringing Decentralized EV Charging to Users❗
The ChargEra mobile application, developed under the Chain4Energy (C4E) ecosystem, has officially launched. The app is designed to improve the electric vehicle (EV) charging experience by integrating decentralized technologies and offering a dual-payment system supporting both fiat currencies and C4E tokens.
App Capabilities
ChargEra provides users with the ability to locate and pay for EV charging sessions through the mobile interface. Payments can be made using traditional fiat or via the C4E token, the native digital asset of the platform. While the app currently supports real-world charging stations in selected European countries, it is available for global download, allowing users worldwide to explore its interface and features.
Future updates aim to introduce Web3 functionalities gradually, prioritizing scalability and performance stability. These updates may include digital incentives, token-based interactions, and NFT integration within the app’s framework.
Early Access and In-App Features
The application features an XP (experience point) system, and early adopters have the option to complete an onboarding process which includes submitting a participation form. This process unlocks access to in-app experience points, digital collectibles like node-related NFTs, and other app-specific functionalities. These elements appear to be part of a broader reward or gamification model within the application.
Availability
The app is currently live and available for download via official platforms. While its charging utility is location-specific for now, many of the app’s features are accessible globally. Additional campaigns and app enhancements are expected to roll out over time.
ChargEra represents one of the real-world use cases aiming to connect blockchain technology with infrastructure applications in the energy sector, particularly in electric mobility.
