With the acquisition of 49% stake in Scale AI by Meta at an estimated value of 14.3 Billion dollars, the artificial intelligence alignment layer between #AITECH and #SocialMining is at critical crossroads with AITECH and @DAO Labs leading the front. Even though much of the headlines are focused on large language models, the more profound change is toward the understanding and ability to control the unseen system that drives their actions.
The potential of Scale AI is its capability to attribute training data, coordinate feedback loops, and implement alignment agendas to the best models. Accessing these abilities, Meta gains the control over the layer that defines the behaviour of AI agents, how they learn and how they interact, in other words, the layer where performance and control are united.
In the case of AITECH, this action justifies the significance of developing powerful and decentralized AI infrastructure. With emergent acquisitions by Meta as its centralization mechanism, Solidus AI Tech and its strategy of open GPU compute marketplace and scalable, AI ready infrastructure provide a different direction. It is an invitation to further invest in tooling which preserves alignment and performance proofs in on-chain verifiability.
The #SocialMining members of the #SolidusHub are currently exploring ways to ensure the open ecosystems can remain trustworthy and scalable (particularly with centralized actors making deeper inroads into the development pipeline of AI technologies). The answer has to be infrastructural -and transparent in nature.
