Sharing a reflection here… the other day I watched a video by Caio Vicentim, who for me is one of the leading names in Brazilian crypto today. And he perfectly summarized the emotional cycle of those entering this market.
First step: the guy only buys Bitcoin. Buys, buys, buys… leaves 90% of the portfolio there thinking he will get rich quickly. After a few months, he realizes that Bitcoin isn’t making him a millionaire overnight. Then comes the second phase: the guy discovers Ethereum. He splits the portfolio half and half and thinks: "Now it’s going to work." Spoiler: it won’t.
Then comes the third phase, the most dangerous one. The guy starts pouring money into weird altcoins, memecoins, dog tokens, anything that promises to make 100x in a week. Buys at the top, sells at the bottom, takes loss after loss… and only then starts to understand the basics: diversification, consistency, and patience.
Today I look at my portfolio and see that I’m doing well in this more mature phase. Diversifying thoughtfully, betting on solid projects, taking care of allocation. There are no miracles. It’s just like in the traditional market: you build wealth over time, with study and strategy. The profit is real, but the path is long. And the sooner we understand this, the less money we burn in the process.
